We spent three weeks mainly researching for our doctorate at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. However, we managed to have some fun. We took a three day bike trip through the mountains, ending up at Noosa Heads on the coast (around 3 hours north by car). During our last ten days, we flew to Cairns and biked north to Port Douglas, and then through beautiful rainforests in Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Our trip took us through some very remote areas and we ended up in Cooktown, which is such a metropolis that it isn't even on the map! |
